All Caran d’Ache products are made, today and since the creation of the House in 1915, in its Geneva workshops.
From its beginnings at the dawn of the 20th century, when the Swiss watchmaking and jewelery industries were booming, Caran d’Ache, the only Swiss manufacturer of writing and drawing instruments, has been part of this same line of excellence, technical quality and craftsmanship. Today, it embodies this same high quality requirement, while relying on innovation and continuous improvement.
Each Caran d’Ache product is subject to the strictest control, applied to the raw materials and their source, as well as to the processes used by the House. An essential part of the Swiss quality label, control guarantees compliance with the strictest criteria and standards.
Color leads and inks are systematically tested for their resistance to light, nibs and ballpoint or rollerball nibs, for their quality of primer and writing flow. Individual checks are carried out regularly according to the needs and types of products.
Strong regulatory requirements are applied to all products from the factory, to allow safe use, even by the youngest.
The work of men and women and special attention to environmentally friendly processes are strong values for the House and contribute to preserving its high quality and the reputation of the Swiss Made label on a daily basis.
