All Caran d'Ache products are made, today and since the creation of the House in 1915, in its workshops in Geneva.
From its beginnings at the dawn of the 20th century, when the Swiss watch and jewelry industries were in full expansion, Caran d'Ache, the only Swiss manufacturer of writing and drawing instruments, has been part of this same tradition of excellence, technical quality and craftsmanship. Today, it embodies this same high quality requirement, while relying on innovation and continuous improvement.
Each Caran d'Ache product is subject to the strictest control, applied to the raw materials and their source, as well as to the processes used by the House. An essential part of the Swiss quality label, control guarantees compliance with the most stringent criteria and standards.
Color leads and inks are systematically tested for their resistance to light, pen tips and ball or roller tips, for their quality of start and writing flow. Individual checks are carried out regularly according to the needs and types of products.
Strict regulatory requirements are applied to all manufactured products, in order to allow safe use, even by the youngest.
The work of men and women and a particular attention to processes that respect ecology are strong values for the House and contribute to maintaining its high quality and the reputation of the Swiss Made label on a daily basis.
