Sustainability
We stand for the circular economy and support comprehensive sustainability goals in Switzerland and the EU. We rely on the proactive commitment of our members in driving sustainable transformation. This includes preventing plastics from entering the environment, closing product and material loops, designing products according to the principles of plastics engineering for durability, design for recycling, and minimizing the use of resources – including plastics.
Training and Further Education
For decades, KUNSTSTOFF.swiss has supported its members, training companies, and partners in attracting young talent to secure a solid base of qualified professionals. As the federally mandated organization of the world of work (OdA) for the two apprenticeship professions Plastics Technologist EFZ and Plastics Practitioner EBA, we ensure optimal framework conditions and high-quality initial and continuing education in close cooperation with training companies.
Services
For its members, the association provides a wide range of services, such as consulting, seminars, and webinars, as well as offering technology, technical, and market information. With the certified industry solution for occupational safety and health protection – a safety system tailored to the sector – individual companies can implement legal requirements for occupational safety and health protection simply and cost-effectively.
Public Relations and Advocacy
KUNSTSTOFF.swiss actively engages in advocacy and public relations. The association highlights the performance and innovative strength of the Swiss plastics industry and is the primary point of contact for press inquiries regarding the industry’s situation, development potential, assessments, and questions about laws and regulations. The association represents the plastics industry at numerous congresses, events, and trade fairs, maintains strong relationships with European umbrella associations, and participates in their committees.
